HUTCHISON PORTS DAMMAM READY FOR ULTRA LARGE CONTAINER VESSELS

On 17 May, Hutchison Ports Dammam welcomed the 13,154-TEU MV Hyundai Pride, the largest vessel ever called at Dammam Port so far. The vessel is one of HMM’s seven ultra large container vessels deployed to its Korea-Middle East service, connecting the terminal with Korea and other Far East and South East Asian countries. Hutchison Ports Dammam commissioned another two semi-automatic Post-Panamax quay cranes recently and increased its yard handling capacity which encouraged shipping lines to deploy larger vessels to call at the terminal on a regular basis.
